Florence

WOW! Florence is an amazing city! Yesterday we traveled to the countryside and saw a beautiful flower market as well as the Mille Miglia (1000 Mile Race). This race goes from Rome to Milan. Here is the website and a few pictures. http://www.millemiglia.it/inglese/home.html






Today we visited the Uffizi. What an amazing gallery! We saw Michelangelo's David, The Birth of Venus is a painting by Sandro Botticelli, as well as thousands of other beautiful pieces of artwork. I recommend the Uffizi to everyone.



We also had some great pizza today. Here is a picture of mine.





I am staying in a beautiful villa overlooking the City of Florence. It is a beautiful villa surrounded by olive trees, gardens, and rolling hills. Here is a photo from last night just before sunset.
