Today, we had the opportunity to visit many of the "hotspots" in Florence: Museo Nazionale del Bargello, Galleria degli Uffizi, Piazza della Signoria, Galleria dell'Accademia, Duomo, and Dante's Home. It was out of this world. I saw Botticelli's "Venus Rising from the Sea" and Michelangelo's Statue of David!!! I also had a minute to call home and wish my Mom "Happy Mother's Day!" It has been am incredible day (and it's not even over)!
Ann, Morgan, and a bit of Susan's head with our personal guide Enza. She was fantastic!
We also got to see the traditional flag presentation and drumline. I was pleased out of my mind that I got to see this. I will post a picture of the flag throwers later!!
Micel has two German Shorthair dogs. They are the best! One (Boss) has a ball that he keeps close guard over. He does prompt you to throw it but he is obsessed with it. He runs after it like lightening. The other Pepe just runs after and jumps around. For being a cat person, I really like these two!
