Pisa. Today is a national holiday here in Italy similar to Labor Day
in the us. Most of the stores and resturants were closed. It is
customary for familes to take the day and go to a park or a beach for
picnics and time together. My host family has a beautiful villa that
is tucked away in the mountains in a little village called Tre Colli
or Three Mountains. It was absolutely beautiful. The entire villa was
surrounded by olive, leamon, cherry, and peach trees. I had homemade
olive oil, and it was to die for. My host mom's (Elisa) father makes
his own olive oil! All I can say is wow!
