9/11 Memorial... in Modena, Italy
Just down the street from the flat of my host family, there is a 9/11 Memorial. Alberto explained to me that following the tragic event, Modena acquired two pieces of the remains from the Twin Towers. These beams were then framed by a sculpture and placed in Modena to memorialize and remember 9/11.

Great photos Stephen! I feel like I know you now after a month of photos and blogs. You all are having such an amazing trip and I admire your collective courage for wheeling into a new town nearly every other day, staying with new families, meeting new people and always posing for pics with a smile! ReplyDeleteThanks Samantha. It has been an amazing experience for us in so many ways! For me, the people have been the highlight. We have been blessed by amazing people opening their homes, hearts, and lives to us. We also have had the incredible forturne of being a part of a fantastic GSE team. On top of that, each of us have tons of support at home from our loved ones (like you) and our Rotary Club District.
